Your data, and how we treat it
The principle fits in one line: we collect as little as possible, sell nothing, and don't misuse anything. AINEX is a content site, you don't need to register or log in to read the articles, and we have no interest in hoarding your personal information. The details below follow the conventions of GDPR (the EU General Data Protection Regulation) so you can understand your rights.
Who we are (the data controller)
"We" in this policy means AINEX Editorial, the operator of the site ainexhq.com. For any question or request about your data, write to [email protected].
What we collect
- What you give us: if you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. These are used only to reply to you and handle what you raised, and aren't repurposed once that's done.
- Technical information generated automatically on a visit: like nearly every website, our server and the network services we use (such as content-delivery and protection services) may log some technical data when you visit, for example the rough time of access, browser type, referring page, and processed IP information. This is mainly for keeping the site secure, stable, and debuggable, and we don't use it to identify you personally.
- What we deliberately don't collect: this site doesn't ask you to register an account, and doesn't collect your name, phone number, ID documents, bank card, or any Binance account information. Your Binance account and fund information live only on Binance's side, which we can neither see nor access.
How cookies are used
This site keeps it restrained. We may use necessary technical cookies to make the site work or to remember basic preferences. If we ever introduce analytics or statistics cookies, we'll update this page to explain, and obtain your consent where the law in your location requires it. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time, which may affect individual features but won't stop you reading the content.
Third parties and external links
- Fonts and base resources: this site uses web fonts and resource services provided by third parties (for proper display). When those resources load, your browser makes a request to the relevant providers, which is the normal way web technology works.
- Going to Binance and other external sites: when you click a link on this site pointing to Binance (via an on-site redirect page) to register or open an account, you enter Binance's own website, and from then on everything you do on Binance is governed by Binance's privacy policy, separate from this site. Our commission relationship with Binance is in the Disclosure; commission tracking is done by Binance under its own rules and doesn't require us to obtain your personal identity information.
- Other external links: third-party sites cited in articles, such as Wikipedia and official docs, each have their own privacy policies, outside our control.
What we won't do
- We don't sell your personal data, and we don't rent it to advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't ask you for sensitive information: passwords, seed phrases, private keys, verification codes, we will never ask you for any of these.
- We don't process beyond the purposes above: the limited information we receive is used only to reply to you and keep the site running, nothing else.
How long we keep data
The contents of email exchanges we keep only as long as needed to handle your request, and clear them once that's done and there's clearly no further need. Automatically generated technical logs are retained on the service providers' normal rolling cycle, expiring after they've served their security and debugging purpose.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you're in a region where GDPR applies, you generally have the following rights over your personal data:
- The right to be informed and the right of access: to know whether we hold your data and what we hold.
- The right to rectification: to ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- The right to erasure (to be forgotten): where the conditions are met, to ask us to delete your data.
- The right to restrict and to object to processing: in certain situations, to ask us to pause or stop some processing.
- The right to data portability: where technically feasible, to obtain the data you provided in a common format.
- The right to complain: if you believe we've handled things improperly, to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your location.
To exercise any of these, write to [email protected]. Given how little data we hold to begin with, most requests are straightforward to handle.
On minors
This site's content is for adults and concerns high-risk crypto assets. We don't offer services to minors and won't knowingly collect minors' information.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated as the site's features or the regulations change; once updated, the current version on this page applies, and we'll mark significant changes on the page. It's worth checking back occasionally.
